Milestones

2010
Sakura Chicken and Imperial Cordcyeps Chicken were sold internationally.
2009
Sakura Chicken won the Merit for Innovation Award (2009-2011) from Singapore Institute of Food Science and Technology’s Food Product Awards.

Worked with Singapore Cordycepin research company AP Nutrifarm and successfully launched Imperial Cordyceps Chicken by adding the cordycepin into the broilers feed.
2005
Worked with 2 Japanese professors and their research center and successfully produced the broilers by adding plant base Lactobacillus in the chicken feed, selling as Sakura chicken in 2007.

Produced 600,000 fresh chickens monthly.

Total workforce of about 300 employees (in Singapore & Malaysia).
2003
Meng Kee established Closed House Modernised farms with automated systems.
2002
Singapore Factory obtained ISO9001:2000 and HACCP certification.
1999
Singapore factory obtained ISO9000 certification, the first slaughtering house in Singapore to be ISO certified.
1992
The first Singapore company who started farming in Malaysia 1992 (established Meng Kee and Lucky farms). Currently having 15 farms locations in total, to supply life chickens daily.
1991
The first company in Singapore who employed the automated slaughtering system.
1989
Obtained Halal Certificate from Majlis Ugama Islam Singapore (MUIS).
1987
Incorporated as Kee Song Brothers Poultry Industries Pte Ltd.
